Jasper Dafeamekpor is a visual communications designer, multimedia designer and visual storyteller with more than 20 years of experience across corporate, educational, nonprofit and community work. He is a Graphic Designer at STRS Ohio in Columbus, where he plans, films, edits and animates video for Town Halls, Board News Breakdowns and Member Benefits programs, and produces photography, presentations and digital design.

Before STRS Ohio, Jasper spent thirteen years as Graphic Designer and Media Lead at Faith Klinik Ministries, leading branding, print, video and photography and mentoring an eight-member media and design team. He supported corporate branding as a Design Technician at Arrow Electronics, and while earning his MFA in Graphic Design at Ohio University he worked as a Teaching Assistant and graphic designer, leading workshops on Adobe Creative Cloud, accessibility and design principles.

Jasper holds a BFA with First Class Honors in Graphic Design from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, and a Diploma in Television and Film Graphics and Animation from the National Film and Television Institute in Accra. He began his career with leading Ghanaian advertising firms Media Majique and Research Systems, Adstyle, and Art Bureau. His research and exhibition work, including Lessons from Granny, brings Ghanaian Adinkra and Anlo-Ewe symbols into contemporary design.

In his spare time, Jasper dabbles in photography, capturing moments that he swears do not need Photoshop.
