It is to encourage all Africans to embrace their cultural heritage with pride and dignity. Adinkra symbols are visual symbols with historical and philosophical significance. The symbols originally were printed on cloths worn by royals to paramount ceremonies. Adinkra symbols, originated from the Gyaman people of Ghana and La Côte D’Ivoire. These symbols are saturated with meanings and symbolize the richness of Akan culture. Twelve Adinkra symbols were selected for the creation of an App and a Website.
